Welcome to Amare, the international centre for music and dance. An iconic cultural complex at the heart of The Hague with a unique combination of resident companies and activities.
Amare is the largest cultural building in the Netherlands, with an iconic and distinctive architecture. It is located at Spuiplein, in The Hague’s cultural city centre. Amare is actually a ‘city within a city’ with freely accessible public spaces, no less than four concert and theatre halls, rehearsal rooms, studios, corporate facilities and two hospitality outlets. Amare can also claim the distinction of being the country’s most sustainably built arts complex.
Within walking distance of The Hague Central Station and surrounded by hotels, restaurants, and cultural attractions, Amare provides an inspiring setting for networking, knowledge exchange, and collaboration.

From Schiphol Airport
Schiphol Airport offers frequent direct train connections to Den Haag Centraal Station. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Visit www.ns.nl to plan your journey.
Public transport
Amare is located at Spuiplein, in the centre of The Hague. It’s just a 5-minute stroll from The Hague’s main railway station (CS): simply follow Turfmarkt. From The Hague’s Holland Spoor railway station (HS), it’s a 15-minute walk. You can also catch a tram or bus to the Spui, Kalvermarkt/Stadhuis or Centrum stops, to arrive at Amare’s doorstep.

By bicycle
The Hague is a bicycle-friendly city with extensive cycling infrastructure. Bicycle parking facilities are available near the venue.
By car
The city centre is easy to reach by public transport. Coming by car anyway? You can find several parking garages in the vicinity of Amare, for example Helicon, Q-Park Spui, Turfmarkt, Muzenplein and Veerkaden.
The Hague also has a number of park-and-ride (P+R) facilities. Park your car at one of these facilities on the outskirts of the city at a low rate and travel to the city centre by public transport. Read more about it here.
